A fine turnout on Thursday with excellent speakers.

With natural enthusiasm, Jessica held our attention while delivering her Icebreaker Speech. Her natural body language and humour shone through as she told the story of her life, her university progression, to deciding on a career in her chosen sport, karate. We all look forward to more speeches from Jessica and enjoying the development of her leadership skills.

With engaging natural humour, Jordan surprised us with the story of his degenerating eyesight, being Four-eyes Fraser, through to the excitement of seeing perfectly as the result of laser eye surgery. With a perfectly structured presentation he described the details of the surgery, enhanced with a clear whiteboard diagram and laced with descriptive elements that had some audience members wincing.

As there were only two main speeches on the day, plenty of time was available for Table Topics, which allowed most of the 28 attendees to have their say on New Year Resolutions.

Make a resolution for yourself this New Year. Develop your communication and leadership skills in 2022.
