How does one note roaring success without sounding boastful?

Rather difficult I discover as I sit down to write this blog.

I mean, three first places and a third in four categories of the Area Competitions.

There are only four categories available and our four entrants cleaned up.

Wiped the floor with three first places and a third.

Thrashed, annihilated, crushed, and trounced are words that come to mind, but they sort of incline to boastfulness so I won’t use them.

Instead I’ll simply mention that Johanna King won the Evaluation Contest, James McKillop won the Table Topics Competition, Sean Joyce won the Humorous Competition and Robyn Johnson placed third in the International Speech Competition.

Whew!
