Early Settlers

It was a very average turnout of seventeen at our new location at the Knox Centre today.

Tom Davie led the meeting with a theme of Thursday Facts to which both he and Inspirator Kathy contributed well.

Garry later heaped further information upon us with his interesting speech of the convict history of Port Arthur, Tasmania.

Olivia finished her membership of Sunrise with a memorable speech about racism in the USA. We all wish her well in her travels, degree and baby, in what promises to be a very full year ahead.

Johanna practiced her award winning speech, entertainingly rolling from the story of pony friendship, through metaphoric messages to cell phone use. With more audience contact and minimal reference to notes we expect her to do very well in the next competition stage at Shoreline in 2 weeks time.

Paul brought us a Table Topics session that was totally different in that no-one was to speak during it.

You just had to be there!

A fact-filled and fun meeting from all involved.
