Sunrise Toastmasters said Sayōnara to 2019 at Meshino this week.

Speakers Sean, Jacquie and John built their presentations around the Magi and the gifts they brought the Christ child.

Beginning with Myrrh, Sean led us all the way to a view of Peter’s house at the crucifixion.

Jacquie brought gold and a background of Herod’s infanticide.

John’s gift of Frankincense went from his dad Frank and with good sense, all the way to a two headed Rawleigh’s beast. (You really had to be there)

The Meshino crew succeeded in being relatively unobtrusive as they came and went with the wide selection of dishes ordered, while the Christmas crackers on the tables were a nice welcome.

The breakfast completed a very successful Toastmasters year with achievements in local competitions and speakers’ progressions through the challenges of manuals and Pathways projects.

Our club meetings resume again on the 23rd January.

You are welcome to join us at the Knox Centre, 28 Bealey Avenue, any Thursday morning at 7.00am to experience the inspiration and entertainment that makes Sunrise one of the country’s more successful Toastmasters clubs.
